Koustuv Dasgupta is the acting Director and Head, Conduent Labs India, formerly known as Xerox Research Centre India. He leads a world-class research organization in a wide range of competencies related to platform modernization, business process automation and optimization, data analytics, mobility and user experience. Along with his team, Koustuv is committed to driving analytics, automation, and personalization into Conduent’s next-generation technology platform - thereby creating differentiated service offerings, improving the customer experience, and improving operational efficiencies across business verticals. In his previous role, Koustuv managed the Services Innovation Lab within Xerox Research Centre India (XRCI). He led research topics that leveraged platform tools and technologies to create optimized and scalable business process services. In specific, his work has led to innovations in service delivery using research methodologies from process analytics, operations research, and modern application architectures for enterprises. He was also responsible for growing a research competency around mobile/IoT systems and human-centric design that can be leveraged for solving real-world problems from multiple domains like smarter cities, healthcare, and tools for workforce communication and collaboration.

Prior to joining Xerox in 2010, Koustuv was a Senior Research Scientist at IBM India Research Lab, where he contributed to multiple innovations in the areas of Telecom Service Delivery Platforms, contextual applications and architectures for next-generation networks, and predictive analytics for business intelligence. His research has led to 21 granted US patents and 50+ research publications. Outside XRCI, Koustuv continues to collaborate with faculty and students in academia, on research areas related to mobile and pervasive computing, wearables, and crowdsourcing. Koustuv holds a Ph.D in Computer Science from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County.
